Orchids

Orchids-The International School is a leading educational institution with 90+ branches across India, serving over 75,000 students. The school focuses on holistic development, blending modern teaching methods with a technology-driven curriculum and state-of-the-art infrastructure. As part of their commitment to student health, Orchids collaborates with Yummy Plate, a vendor providing nutritious breakfast and lunch services to students.

The Ask

Orchids approached us with the need to create a series of 10 short videos (40-50 seconds each) highlighting key aspects of their meal services provided by their trusted vendor, Yummy Plate. The themes focused on:

  • Food Safety
  • Hygiene & Cleanliness
  • Kitchen Highlights
  • Nutritional Benefits
  • Overall Dining Experience
  • Parents’ Testimonials
  • Variety in the Menu
  • Student-Led Favourite Menu

The primary goal was to build parental trust by showcasing the quality, hygiene, and nutritional value of the meals provided to their children. The videos were intended for YouTube, ensuring they reach a wider audience.

The Execution Process

We covered everything in this project from concept generation to final delivery within a tight timeline.

The pre-production phase began with extensive discussions with the Orchids team to understand their key messaging and expectations. We then moved on to concept development, scripting, and storyboarding, ensuring each video had a clear structure and focus.

Given the diverse themes, we planned a mix of interviews, kitchen walkthroughs, and candid student interactions to bring authenticity to the content. It was important for us to convey all these aspects well; plan the shoot with pitch-perfect precision so we stay within budget and avoid overruns; and edit quickly.

It was a two-day shoot in Bangalore —one day at an Orchids school capturing students’ meal experiences, and another at Yummy Plate’s central kitchen, where the food is prepared. Our 4-member crew efficiently captured high-quality visuals across both locations.

The school shoot focused on children enjoying their meals, interviews with parents and faculty, and the overall meal experience. At Yummy Plate’s facility, we filmed the food preparation process, high-quality cooking devices, interviews with staff, hygiene and quality control measures.

A key challenge was capturing sound bites from young children, who were naturally camera-shy. To overcome this, we created a relaxed environment, encouraging them to speak freely—resulting in genuine, heartwarming responses that added authenticity to the videos.

The post-production phase was all about refinement. Each video was carefully edited to ensure clarity, engagement, and alignment with Orchids’ brand. We incorporated background scores, animations, and subtle graphics to enhance storytelling and maintain consistency across the series.

Given the short format, every second was optimized to make an impact, ensuring the videos remained concise while delivering the intended message effectively.
