Simply Solar: A Gen-AI Brand Film for Zeovolt by Sturlite

Founded in 2009, Sturlite began in the wires and cables space before expanding into LED lighting and electrical solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial segments. Today, the brand operates in 19 states with a dealer network of over 14,000 partners, building products that prioritise reliability and everyday usability.

As part of its move into renewable energy, Sturlite launched Zeovolt, a solar solutions brand focused on making clean energy practical and dependable. This project marked our first collaboration with Sturlite, supporting the brand as it stepped into this next phase of growth.

The Ask

Sturlite approached us to introduce Zeovolt as a complete, reliable solar solution. The goal was to present solar as a practical choice, covering everything from components and installation to warranties, without positioning it as a premium or niche offering.

The film needed to communicate sustainability in a way that felt accessible, balance aspiration with realism, and work as a strong brand narrative across marketing and outreach. Sturlite was open to a Generative AI–led approach, provided the storytelling remained clear, cohesive, and true to the brand.

This was the first AI vidoe project we’d done.

The Execution

We began with a clear onboarding and alignment phase to get everyone on the same page early. We then refined the script and translated it into a visual screenplay. The intent was to preserve Sturlite’s original messaging while making sure every line had a clear visual purpose once it hit the screen.

With the script locked, we moved into storyboarding and visual planning. References were shared alongside this to align on tone, pacing, and overall direction, so there were no surprises later in the process.

The film was produced as a Generative AI–led video, using AI tools to create the visual sequences. But the real work sat in how those visuals were shaped. We handled the narrative flow, visual continuity, copy, pacing, music, and final assembly. The goal was to make the film feel like a single, considered brand piece, not a sequence of good-looking AI shots.

All collaboration and feedback happened inside a shared workspace, giving the Sturlite team full visibility into progress, versions, and decisions as the film came together.

The Final Result

The final film positioned Zeovolt by Sturlite as a credible, future-ready solar brand, communicating the value of solar with clarity and restraint. It worked as a clean brand narrative that could support marketing, outreach, and early-stage customer conversations without over-explaining or overselling.

The Sturlite team valued the speed of execution and the consistency of the final output, particularly within a Generative AI–led workflow. More importantly, the film felt complete and considered, not experimental. Visual quality, narrative flow, and sound design came together as a single, cohesive piece.

This project reflects how we approach AI in production. AI accelerates execution, but the outcome is shaped by structured scripting, narrative control, and editorial decision-making. The effectiveness of the film came from production discipline applied through a tech-enabled workflow, not from prompt-driven experimentation.
